Home Care Meeting Update
Our recent Home Care Meeting provided a valuable opportunity to discuss key issues relating to domiciliary care across Berkshire. We were pleased to be joined by several guest speakers who shared useful insights and updates on a range of topics affecting providers.

- Ellie Rimmer – Bladder and Bowel (Continence) Service Lead and Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, BHFT
- Ellie outlined how care providers can support service users to access the continence service, including referral pathways, assessments, and the provision of appropriate products.
- Paul Scott and Helen Deadman – Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service
- Paul and Helen shared information about Safe and Well Checks available to vulnerable residents, along with details of specific support and equipment available for high-risk groups. They also highlighted training available to those working in care in the community.
- Sonia Durrani and Kerry Wilson – Service leads for Community Nursing
- Representatives from the District Nursing Team explained how their service operates across Berkshire and explored ways to strengthen partnership working between district nurses and care providers.
- Jonathan Shepherd – Frimley ICB System Wide Community Equipment Commissioning Lead
- Jonathan joined us online to provide an update on the current issues surrounding the change of community equipment provider.
